What is a NAF aldehyde-free release sheet?
In the traditional sheet industry, the adhesive used is trialdehyde glue, namely formaldehyde + urea (or phenol, melamine or a combination thereof). It is obvious that formaldehyde is an essential raw material, and the reaction is reversible, in the long-term of the board. During use, formaldehyde is continuously released.
In 2008, the California Air Resources Board issued a toxic substance airborne control measure to reduce formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products, which has been incorporated into the California Act. The Act is one of the world's most stringent standards for formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products.
The Act defines aldehyde-free release sheets as follows: no adhesive containing formaldehyde is used in the production of the board. NAF is the most stringent aldehyde-free exemption certification in the Act. When the certified sheet or furniture product is exported to the US market, formaldehyde testing is not required.

What is the NAF level of testing?
The testing standards and requirements of the NAF level are required to require all product detection values in the same batch of products to be less than or equal to 0.2 mg/L. This is different from E0 (same batch, test sample below 0.5 mg/L).
Therefore, to certify the environmental protection level, choose the furniture sheet that is most suitable for you.
